SEGA and Bizarre Creations today revealed their secret project , The Club (Working Title). The Club is the next project from award-winning UK based development powerhouse, Bizarre Creations, the studio behind the definitive next-gen racing game, Project Gotham Racing 3. Bizarre Creations are once again in partnership with SEGA having already enjoyed past success with the beloved Metropolis Street Racer. Within The Club, Bizarre Creations will redefine and refresh the mechanics of 3rd person action shooters just as they have shaken up the racing genre. The Club focuses on addictive and rewarding gameplay that tests your skills to the limit and offers a relentless pace never before seen within the genre. Offering frantic, fast paced gameplay with a unique style, tone and storyline that drips with energy, attitude and anarchy, The Club will be a genuine showcase for the capabilities of the next-gen platforms by maximising the graphical and audio technology available to give a gameplay experience that is second to none. The game focuses on addictive and rewarding gameplay that tests your skills to the limit and leaves you, and the rest of the world, in no doubt about how good you really are. “The Club is the most exciting game I have seen in ages. It's one of those titles, even at this stage in development, which I cannot put down - it will be huge.” commented Matt Woodley, Creative Director of SEGA. "Here at Bizarre Creations we feel The Club brings the pillars of classic SEGA gameplay bang up to date for the next generation of hardware, gaming and gamers" commented Martyn Chudley, Managing Director, Bizarre Creations Ltd. "We are truly excited by the prospects of this game and of our partnership with SEGA." The Club is a loosely organised and highly illegal underground entity. The Club is a meeting ground for those seeking the ultimate in vicarious thrills, and those who want to watch them. You have been entered into the sport, and against the odds must fight for survival. Set in a variety of unusual and evocative locations scattered across the globe, you will be wielding high-powered weaponry in a bid to earn your escape. Your first task is to survive, but you must kill according to their rules - quickly, relentlessly and with style. Kill or be killed, stand still and you’re dead! The Club hits Europe and America in 2007 on Next-Gen platforms. Bizarre Creations will be conducting in-depth presentations behind closed doors for select press at E3 on the SEGA booth #946, South Hall. In addition to the presentation there will be a sneak preview video running on the video wall on the show floor. ![]() ![]() Add Comment Unregistered - Frangieh 05.05.2006 11:11 Looks Impressive Lucid360 05.05.2006 12:20 Are those screenies engine renders or concept art? EIther way the concept sounds interesting. Unregistered - Ric Hard 05.05.2006 12:26 It's probably just a mock up for now. But yea hopefully it would have potential. Unregistered - leon 05.05.2006 12:40 with sega involved i bet this will turn out to be a piece of sh1t. and notice how its for "next gen consoles" whats the point of having an xbox360 whan 95% of newgames that are being announced are mulit fcuking format ?. MS should do what sony did in the ps1 days and make every game exclusive to that console. Unregistered - Ric Hard 05.05.2006 12:43 Its most likely going to be exclusive. You are looking at the Sega side of it. But Bizarre Creations belongs to MS they are the ones who made PGR 3 Unregistered - Ric Hard 05.05.2006 12:46 I retract what I said they are acting like next gens consoles like it is more than one system. Flame on about them. I really over looked what was written. Unregistered - leon 05.05.2006 12:49 no sir i think that you will find that BIZARRE CREATIONS is an independant company(and as such can make games for any system) microsoft dont own them , they just own the rights to the project gotham games.. thats whats wrong with posters on this site way too quick to post. do a little research to make sure your "facts" are right b4 posting. Unregistered - Ric Hard 05.05.2006 13:03 Thanks for the info. But you could cut out the know it all bvllsh!t. Thats why people write in these forums so that we can learn from each other. But people like you want to become the Human Torch and Flame on. Like I said thanks for the info but save the dramatics. Its not necessary Unregistered - leon 05.05.2006 13:11 dude you took my post out of context. it wasnt intended to come across as "know it all BS " if it did, my bad ;) Unregistered - leon 05.05.2006 13:12 dude you took my post out of context. it wasnt intended to come across as "know it all BS " if it did, my bad ;) (you , got , me, wrong) Unregistered - Ric Hard 05.05.2006 13:18 It's cool. I really do mean thanks for the info. All this time I did believe that because of PGR exclusives that MS owned Bizarre. Now I know they dont. Unregistered - pRo loGic 05.05.2006 15:53 need-more-3rd-person-games-spoc chimera360 05.05.2006 16:06 so its like a Fight Club yeah? like the movie? Unregistered - DIGITA-L-IFE 05.05.2006 16:26 sounds and looks very promising Unregistered - tRon 05.05.2006 16:29 Its better than "Manhunt" cuz thats what it sounds like. Unregistered - the One 05.05.2006 20:04 common dude don't even compare Manhunt to this game, ye this game is next gen, but Manhunt was a bloody and thirsty masterpiece, which made it among my most favorite games on the PS2. I don't think that an industry like Sega will be willing to make a game so bloody, because only Rockstar can withstand the heat, by the way i want gore, give me blood. Unregistered - boba 05.06.2006 20:00 sorry, but manhunt was a piece of crap Unregistered - yes 05.07.2006 14:23 I agree. FreeMonk 05.07.2006 23:06 Looks promising, but it has to offer something new. I want a game where you can shoot out a glass ceiling which is about an enemy, and watch him get cut to ribbons. I want to shoot a ceiling fan and watch a guy get smashed in by the blades. I want to shoot a steam pipe, and watch an enemy cry in pain. I want to be able to hide behind a door and kick it towards an enemy when he comes in to knock him out. That sort of thing is what next gen gaming should be about. Things that have not been done before. All the FPS's out are all the same with graphical tweeks, which is not a bad thing, but it just gets a little stale after a while. I want to play a FPS and believe I'm in the middle of an hollywood Michael Bay/John Woo shoot-out. BLACK was a great game for that. Blow up anything, but I want to use the environment around me to kill my enemies (like in Red Faction). Everything from doors, to glass ceilings, to floor boards to things hanging on ropes that shouldn't be hanging on ropes. A hold no barred action FPS where you can use anything and everything to your advantage, and vice versa. How cool would it be to be climing a ladder, when you see an enemy below pulling the ladder down, for you to jump to another platform, or shoot him down and land on him for a safe landing. Hollywood stuff baby! Add Comment |
