The combination of suspense, action, and importantly immersion where amazing. The component that really added to the immersion had to be the lack of load times. In this respect Half Life 2 was HORRID! I can't even imagine how long the load times will be on the 360!! My PC was a 3.2 with 2 gigs of ram and 256 mb Ati card.... All I can say is good luck to the 5 people who did not play this on PC! 4 -

Halo is boring story-wise, the Flood and Arbiter ruined each game respectively, and gameplay-wise its mediocre at best. The reason its got the recognition and acclaim that it has is because it was the first big-budget console FPS, and also because got the controls right. There are FPS games on PC that came out years before Halo that are superior. I love Xbox, just don't like Halo. Back on topic though, Half Life 2 is an amazing game. I agree with the previous poster however, no way would I buy a game that old at a "new" price, especially if it features the single-player game only, which I have read on a few sites. 6 -

Half life and counter strike already came out for the Xbox and hasn't sold nearly as much as halo has, they are good game and I've bought both but they are not nearly as good as halo. If you don't like halo that your problem but that won't stop 1.5 millions copies being sold on lunch which is by the way a world record pronouncing halo as the most popular franchise. So whether you like it or not STFU and stop comparing it to everything, every time someone bring up halo is just showing how big it actually is. 8 -
Arsenic 05.29.2006 12:22 half life is better than halo but with crappyer graphics, # 5 if it was 4 360 it would be better than the pc version.plus we can get exspansion pacts over the marketplace.Halo is not the best game it was the the first good game on xbox. FreeMonk 05.29.2006 22:20 I prefer Half-Life 2 story mode to Halo 2 story, but I prefer Halo 2 multiplayer to Half-Life 2 multiplayer. It personal choice. It like choosing between Budweiser and Miller. Each person like a different thing. I agree that the load times on Half Life 2 were very bad. Long loading times, even when running on a very good PC. The same went for the X-Box version. I like Halo in that respect, because there are no loading times when you are playing. I hope they bring out a new Half-Life and not just another cashin on Half Life 2, because that would render the XBox version worthless and pointless! 12 -

An Half Life doesn't have as good of a story as Halo does! The single Playermode is the number 1 reason why People became bought both Halo 1 and 2!(but in 2 people were also looking forward o XBOX Live) The Halo franchise has More Plot twists than any other game franchise I'll tell you that! 13 -
Unregistered - shotty 05.30.2006 14:22 Stop comparing to Halo. Using stats to compare Halo 2 was the most successful game on the planet. It shattered all records on opening day even the hollywood records. It made the most money in 1 day compared against other games and movies. Some people like Metal Gear and some like final fantasy but Halo stomps on them with 1 toe basing it on sale statistics. 14 -
