King Kong Game Sequel In The Works?

In an interview with Yahoo Video Games, Peter Jackson hints that a possible game sequel to King Kong might be in the works. The game's sequel rights are owned by Ubisoft, and when asked about it Jackson responded, "I have been in discussions with Michel Ancel and the Montpellier team, but there is nothing to share at this point in time."

The Xbox Operating System

There are a number of reasons both Xbox and 360 have their own OS. One of the guys from the Xbox team talks about the OS for Xbox 360 - "First, it gives Xbox a chance to own its own destiny in terms of architecture. When you have your own operating system, it's easy to go in and change things. Second comes performance. There isn't much of a hardware abstraction layer on Xbox - most stuff talks almost directly to hardware. This eliminates a lot of software overhead you might find on a PC. Third is security. With our own operating system, it also becomes a lot easier to design & implement our own security architecture. As the community is finding out, there is a lot of custom stuff."

This game was initially announced way back in 2004, if you remember. Toshiba announced today details of an integrated marketing communications plan to launch its line-up of HD DVD players. The Toshiba HD DVD players, models HD-XA1 and HD-A1, will be the first HD DVD players to hit the U.S. market and will begin shipping to retailers in March of this year.
The multi-tiered initiative is designed to educate retail salespeople, provide them with support materials to aid in the sale of the HD DVD players and continue to increase consumer awareness of HD DVD players.

Gears of War is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly-awaited Xbox 360 games this year and the latest news from the US suggests that we should be seeing a playable version very soon. At a Microsoft event in the past few days Xbox 360 big cheeses Peter Moore and Robbie Bach showed off a number of upcoming Microsoft games, the big of the bunch being Epic’s futuristic third-person shooter. And Xbox.com PR John Porcaro, writing on his blog GamerScoreBlog, has reported that the game was in playable form for the first time and looked – this is a genuine quote – “holy smokes!”
