Prey Details
Submitted By: DragonFly
06 Feb 2006 10:40 | Xbox 360
Prey on Xbox 360 is being ported by UK developer Venom. The PC iteration might have received most of the attention recently, but the console version is closer to its keyboard cousin in progress than you may think. Prey 360 is currently only three weeks behind the latest PC build, graphically running in pixel-perfect unison with the PC version, with an apparently smooth framerate. Feature-wise, Prey is set to take advantage of Xbox Live, with online play and gamer score achievements fully integrated in to the game. In an early level of Prey there are several Black Jack and Pac Man-style arcade machines for the player to mess around with, which in the Xbox 360 version of the game will unlock achievements for the player.

Delays could make interest in Xbox 360 turn 180
Submitted By: News Bot
03 Feb 2006 05:32 | Xbox 360
Gripping the controller of the coveted Xbox 360, Jesus Sanchez watched as the Oakland Raiders clashed with the Denver Broncos on a high-definition flat-screen TV. The details in the "Madden NFL 06" video game looked so sharp that it was almost like seeing an actual football game. Sanchez was mesmerized, but unfortunately for him the 360 wasn't his. He was playing a demo machine at a Best Buy store in L.A.'s Atwater Village neighborhood because, like countless other frustrated gamers, he hasn't been able to get one of his own. More than two months after its debut, Microsoft Corp.'s newest console remains hard to find.

Microsoft Dismisses the Revolution
Submitted By: bloval327
03 Feb 2006 05:02 | Systems | Xbox 360 | Revolution
As far as Microsoft is concerned, there's only one rival in the next-generation hardware war. This year will see all three hardware makers get stuck in the greatest hardware battle yet, but if you think like Microsoft, there are only two competitors to speak of: Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. So why the disdain for Nintendo and the Revolution? According to Microsoft's Bryan Lee, it all comes down to Nintendo's new mantra of cozying up to both gamers and so-called non-gamers:
"The odd thing about this, [with] Nintendo, in a lot of ways - unless something changes - we're moving farther and farther from being competitors."
"All the early indications are [the Revolution] is going to be a very nice little thing that's not based on the same kind of gamer experience that we're trying to push. No disrespect intended. It's just a different approach."
