Rumor: Dead or Alive 4 glitch killing game saves?
Submitted By: News Bot
11 Jan 2006 07:12 | Xbox 360
Originally slated to be a 360 launch title, Dead or Alive 4's release date was pushed back for weeks, until it finally hit the market on December 29. The repeated postponements caused many to suspect that the game was either (a) having problems with supply or (b) having trouble passing Microsoft's certification for the 360. The latter theory got more ammo last week, when a forum thread titled "WARNING: DOA4 has a major glitch" popped up on GameSpot's community. The original poster, gintheplacetobe, said that he had spent hours going through all the story modes and unlocking almost all the characters. "I played a few more sessions after that, and then booted up the game again only to find out that all of my [DOA4] save data was gone," wrote gintheplacetobe. "All of my unlocked characters, costumes, leader-board achievements, online ranking, ALL GONE!"

Splinter Cell update causes Xbox 360 chaos
Submitted By: Lost Alley
10 Jan 2006 13:27 | Xbox 360
Ubisoft released two new Chaos Theory maps last year, but the update was quickly removed as it failed to work. The maps are now back complete with a new Polar Base versus map, but so are the problems. If you are an Xbox user then go ahead and download the three maps as so far there are no reported problems. If, however, you are playing Chaos Theory on an Xbox 360 then you might want to wait a while. It appears that that updating the game with the new maps causes the game to freeze or simply not load.

Moore Spills On Halo 3
Submitted By: News Bot
09 Jan 2006 11:29 | Xbox 360
A rare reference to next-generation Master Chief from Microsoft's Peter Moore sheds a little light on plans for Halo on Xbox 360. -- "The good news is interestingly we're riding this wave of success [with Xbox 360] and Halo's still sitting in the quiver. Ready to pull out when we feel like it's done", Moore has said in an interview with GameInformer.com. "There was a lot of anticipation but everybody forgets that we've done this without Halo. We have done all this without our number one piece of intellectual property. And that['s] still sat right here in the back pocket."
"Not yet, but eventually that IP will be brought to bear when we feel it's appropriate," Moore explained.
